South Dakota Real Estate Continued Education Information
Total Hours: 24 hours
Requirements:
Real Estate Brokers, Broker Associates, Property Managers and Real Estate Auctioneers renewing an active license must complete at least 24 hours of continuing education during the preceding two license years. At least 12 of these hours must be in required subject areas.

How Do I Renew My South Dakota Real Estate License?
Licenses renew every two years, and renewal forms are mailed only to those needing to renew. To see when your license renews check the states online roster.

Does South Dakota Have Reciprocity With Any Other State?
Yes. Nonresident brokers and salespersons who hold a South Dakota license are exempt from the continuing education requirements if the licensee meets the education requirements in the state of residence.
Who Submits Completed Continued Education?
It is the responsibility of the course provider, not the licensee, to report completion of continuing education to the SDREC office. Licensees will receive a certificate of completion from Real Estate Training Institute.
